私はいつもテレビで観戦していますが、何回か国技館で本場所を見たことがあります。
I have watched sumo tournament live at Kokugikan(the national sport hall) several times.
もちろん当日の自由席で。
Of course, I bought non reserved seat ticket on the day.
当日券が買える時間 What time should you arrive at Kokugikan to get today's ticket?
当日券が売り切れてしまう時間は、どのくらい相撲が人気なのかによって変わります。
What time will today's tickets be sold out? It depends on how popular sumo is at the time.
相撲の人気は上がったり下がったり、時期によって差があります。今は割と人気がある方ですね。
The popularity of sumo went up and down, there is a big difference by the time period. Now, sumo is quite popular.
2018年の5月場所、平日に国技館へ観戦に行きました。
2018 march, I went to Kokugikan to watch sumo tournament on a weekday.
7時45分に国技館に着いたら、すでに当日券に並んでいる人がたくさんいました。
I arrived there at 7:45 AM. There was many people waiting in line for today's ticket.
私は、「キャンセル待ちの先頭」でした。最終的に、ちゃんと当日券を手に入れて相撲観戦できました。
I was the top of the line waiting for cancel. Finally, I got the day's ticket and watched sumo.
私の経験から言って、遅くても朝の7時45分までには国技館に到着したほうが良さそうです。
From my experience, I think you should arrive at Kokugikan at 7:45 AM at latest if you want to get the day ticket.
土日はもっと早く行かないとだめですね。
You should go earlier if it's weekends.
当日券はお安い How much is the ticket if you buy it at the day?
当日券は、両国国技館の場合2200円です。(会場によって少し値段が違います)
The price is 2200 yen for the day ticket when it held at Ryogoku Kokugikan. (The price is a little different depend on venue.)
案外、土俵が近い You can see the ring (dohyo) well.
当日券は自由席で、国技館の二階の一番後ろの席にしか座れません。
The day tickets are non reserved seats. You can only use the very back seats on second floor in Kokugikan.
それでも、充分土俵が近く感じるし、とても良く見えます。テレビで観るよりもよく見えました。
Still, you can see the ring very well. It is better view than watching on TV.
お相撲さんの表情や、裏方さんたちの働きっぷりが見られます！
You can see sumo wrestlers' facial expressions and the work of backstage people.

当日券なら安いしよく見えるし、一度試しに生で見て、ぜひ相撲にハマってみてください(^^)
