体の部位を表す英語と、それに関連する相撲の話 The names of body parts /sumo wrestling

こんにちは、りほです。

今回は体の部分を表す英語を書いていこうと思います。当然「ハンド」とか、すごく簡単なのも有りますが…（でも改めて書いてみたら、思ったよりよく覚えていない部分もありました）

後半は、「体の部位を表す英単語」を使って、相撲に関する話も英語で書いてみます。禁じ手や、相撲の取り口について。

I will write about terms for body parts and sumo topic in English. For example, about fouls in sumo, and sumo techniques.

体の部位 Parts of body

●頭：head
●髪：hair
●顔：face
●目：eye
●あご：chin
●首：neck

 

●肩：shoulder
●腕：arm
●手：hand
●肘：elbow

●胸部：chest
●腹部：stomach/belly
●腰：waist/loins

●お尻：buttocks
●脚：leg
●足（足首より先）：foot（複数形はfeet）
●膝：knee

相撲の取り口　Types of sumo techniques.

相撲の取り口は、大きく分けると2つのタイプがあるようです。

Sumo techniques are categorized into two types.

突き押し相撲：手のひらで相手の胸などを押したり突いたりして攻める相撲。
Pushing and thrusting Sumo wrestling called "Tukioshi-zumou"：Pushing and thrusting opponent's body away by your hands.

四つ相撲：腕を相手の脇に差して、多くの場合はまわしをとって攻める相撲。
"Yotu-zumou"：Sumo wrestling in which wrestlers have their arm on the inside of their opponent's arm, and grasp opponent's belt with their hand.

相撲の禁じ手 fouls in sumo

相撲では、相手の目を突くこと、相手の髪の毛を掴むこと、握りこぶしで殴ることなどは反則（禁じ手）です。
In sumo, it is foul to attack opponent's eye, pull opponent's hair, or strik with a closed hand.

ケガ　injury

膝を痛める力士はたくさんいます。
There are many sumo wrestlers who is injured their knees.

白鵬は両足の親指を怪我しています。
Hakuho has his thumb of both feet injured.

足の親指は力士にとってとても大事だと言われています。
It is said the thumb of foot is important for sumo wrestlers.
